I love pineapples - one of my favorite fruits, it also signifies hospitality, a welcoming symbol, and friendship. When we visited Hawaii a few months ago, we visited the Dole Plantation and learned so much about how they grow pineapples and the history behind the plantation. Did you know that it takes a pineapple between 16-24 months to produce fruit? And the plant is only good for 2 cycles of fruit before it is done producing! All that work for those delicious spears of pineapple!
